Who qualifies for a membership?

Business Credit: You must be the age of 18 or older to apply. Currently, MBIBB requires all business account members to have a valid Employee Identification Number (EIN), which is assigned to all businesses through the IRS, be permanent resident of the United States.

How does a MBIBB membership help my credit?

A consistent membership helps build on-time payment history, increases credit history length over time, and lowers credit utilization percentage, thereby strengthening your credit profile which in turns raises your score.

How soon will I see this on my credit profile?

Please allow at least 60-90 days for payments to reflect on your credit report. You must have at least 2 consecutive membership payments for the system to generate a recording of a revolving payment cycle. Please note that the times can vary depending on when the report is pulled from each credit reporting agency.

Will applying for a membership require a credit check?

No way! Everyone deserves a chance to achieve great credit. This is one of the bonuses of becoming a member of MBIBB. There are never any credit pulls made by us.

What happens if I skip a payment?

MBIBB does not report missed payments. We will simply not report for the month in which a payment was missed. 3 consecutive missed payments will result in the cancelling of your membership; however, you are free to sign up again anytime.

What if I choose to cancel my membership?

We hope you choose to continue as a MBIBB member, but if you choose to cancel your membership, all you need to do is send us an email at customercare@mbibb.com. We will respond within 48 business hours with a cancellation confirmation email. Once a membership is cancelled by request, then we mark the account as closed and paid. We will not negatively report to credit bureaus.

Which credit bureaus do you report to?

MBIBB reports to the three major credit bureaus—Experian, Transunion, and Equifax for personal credit members and Experian Business, Equifax Small Business and Dun & Bradstreet for business credit members.

How long should I keep my membership?

The longer the better, of course. A major bonus is length of time you've had the revolving credit. But many have benefited with just one - two years of revolving lines. This gave them enough time and strength of profile to go to the next step to open larger lines of credit. Cancelling will decrease the average length of time, thereby, potentially lowering your score.

Can I use this to purcase other items?

This is not a credit card like Visa, MC, Discover, etc. This membership trade-line is for building and strengthening your credit profile, thereby increasing your credit score.

Can I use MBIBB membership for both my personal and business credit?

Yes! We definitely encourage using MBIBB Credit Assist for your personal and business for building and strengthening your credit profiles. You must however, choose both options.
